Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Mets have signed pitcher R.A.
Dickey and five others to minor league contracts with invitations to spring
training.
In addition to Dickey, the Mets also inked outfielder Jesus Feliciano, third
baseman Mike Cervenak and infielders Russ Adams, Andy Green and Mike Hessman.
Dickey appeared in 35 games for the Twins last season, all but one out of the
bullpen, and posted a record of 1-1 with a 4.62 earned run average. The 35-
year-old knuckleballer owns a career mark of 22-28 with a 5.43 ERA in seven
seasons with Minnesota, Seattle and Texas.
Feliciano spent last season with the Mets' Triple-A affiliate in Buffalo and
led the International League with 154 hits. He batted .311 with a career-high
30 doubles in 2009.
Cervenak was an International League All-Star last year while playing for
Philadelphia's Triple-A affiliate in Lehigh Valley, while Adams, Green and
Hessman have some big league experience.
Adams spent parts of five seasons with Toronto and is a career .247 hitter,
while Green appeared in four games......
