=== Boston College selects Cornell's Donahue ===
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Boston College has reportedly selected
Cornell's Steve Donahue as its next men's basketball coach.
The New York Times cited an athletic department official in reporting the news
Tuesday, and added that Donahue will be introduced at BC on Wednesday.
Donahue is coming off his most successful season with Cornell, which advanced
to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament as a No. 12 seed before losing to top-
seeded Kentucky. The Big Red finished 29-5 this season, becoming the first Ivy
League team to win an NCAA tourney game since 1998 and the first to advance to
the round of 16 since 1979.
Donahue has spent all 10 of his head coaching seasons with Cornell, which has
made the NCAA tourney in each of the last three years. He will replace Al
Skinner, who parted ways with Boston College last week after 13 seasons.
