Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Georgia Tech freshman forward Derrick Favors
announced Friday that he will enter the 2010 NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-10 Atlanta native was named the ACC Rookie of the Year after
ranking second on the team with averages of 12.4 points and 8.4 rebounds.

"I look forward to taking this next step in my basketball career," said
Favors, who could be among the top five picks in the draft. "The time is
right, and this is the best decision for me and my family."

All underclassmen have until April 25 to declare for the draft, which is set
for June 24 in New York.
